In short

A Breeze Free window or door project runs in six steps: you reach out, Cory visits and measures, you get a written quote within 24 to 48 hours, a 50 percent deposit places the order, the windows or doors arrive in 4 to 6 weeks, and our crew installs them with the balance due on completion. Every installation carries a 2-year workmanship warranty in addition to the manufacturer's product warranty.

Howto

The six steps

1. You reach out

Call (425) 337-6357 or send the form with what is bothering you and a photo if you have one. Ericha usually replies the same business day to set a visit.

2. Cory visits and measures

He looks at every opening, the frames, the sills and the siding, then tells you which need replacing, which need glass and which can wait. About an hour, and nobody signs anything at the kitchen table.

What Cory looks at, in more detail

3. Written quote within 24 to 48 hours

Itemized by opening: product, glass package, U-factor, installation and haul-away. If a rebate applies, the quote shows which units qualify. The number on the quote is the number on the invoice.

4. 50 percent deposit to order

Your windows or doors are built to your measurements once the deposit is in. We confirm the order and the estimated arrival date in writing.

5. Four to six weeks for the order

Custom units take 4 to 6 weeks from most manufacturers. Glass-only units take about two to three weeks. We call you to schedule installation the day the order lands.

6. Installation and walkthrough

Our own crew, not a subcontractor. Floors protected, old units hauled away, each new unit checked and demonstrated. Most homes are done in a day, and the balance is due when you are satisfied.

Install day, in detail

  • We arrive in the morning window we gave you and walk the job with you first.
  • Interior protection goes down before any window comes out; one opening is open at a time, so the house never sits open.
  • Old units are removed, openings checked and prepped, new units set, shimmed, fastened, insulated and sealed.
  • Interior trim is preserved on insert jobs; new casing is fitted on full-frame jobs.
  • Exterior is flashed and sealed to the siding type your house has.
  • Screens fitted, locks checked, glass cleaned, debris hauled.
  • A walkthrough with you before we leave.

The warranty, in plain words

Workmanship: 2 years

Every installation carries our 2-year workmanship warranty. If something we installed leaks, sticks or fails because of the installation, we come back and fix it at no cost.

Products: the manufacturer's warranty

Most windows and patio doors carry a lifetime manufacturer warranty on the frame, glass seal and hardware for the original owner. Front doors carry their own terms. The exact warranty for every product on your quote is in writing.

What is not covered

Damage from remodeling, settling, or work by others; failures in frames we advised replacing and you chose to keep; and glass breakage after installation. We say all of this before you sign.

Where rebates fit in

Step 2 is where Cory confirms your utility and heat type. Step 3 is where the quote lists each unit's U-factor so you can see which qualify. Step 6 is when we hand you the specs and invoice the utility requires. PUD rebates need a registered installer, which we are for windows; PSE applications are due within 60 days of installation.

What homeowners say

Breezefree just installed new windows for my home. The entire process was efficient and prompt. Cory has been great to work with and all of his team were professional and friendly. The office staff has also been responsive and friendly. My windows and doors are beautiful. Opening and closing is much easier, and I already notice the difference in keeping out drafts and keeping heat inside. I have only had the new windows for three weeks and I feel confident that Breeze Free will back their product and their work should I ever need to call them. They were referred to me by another window company and are one of PUD's approved contractors. The cost was very reasonable!

Deborah B.Google review, windows and doors

Love the new windows- they're already making a making a noticeable difference in home comfort. This winter I am sure it will help with my power bill too. I got four quotes, and Breeze was the only company willing to install the new windows with requiring new trim on the siding, which is a huge help since I am not replacing all my windows at once. I definitely will call Breeze again when I am ready to replace the rest of my homes windows.

Doug M.Google review, partial replacement

They were here on time and did a great job of putting my slider in and cleaned up their mess. Plus there was a crack on the door and they put the replacement order in right away. Great Job....This is the second time I have used them.

FAQ

Questions homeowners ask

Straight answers. Anything else, call (425) 337-6357.

How long does the whole process take?

From the estimate visit to installed windows, plan on about 5 to 8 weeks: a day or two for the written quote, 4 to 6 weeks for the order, and usually one day for installation. Glass-only jobs run about two to three weeks.

Do you use subcontractors?

No. The crew that installs your windows and doors works for Breeze Free. Cory measured the job and he is the one who answers for it, and that is who the 2-year workmanship warranty is backed by.

Do I have to be home during installation?

Someone needs to let us in and walk the job with us at the start and end. Beyond that, most customers go about their day. We keep one opening open at a time so the house stays secure and warm.

What if something goes wrong after installation?

Call us. Installation issues are covered by our 2-year workmanship warranty and we come out and fix them. Product issues go through the manufacturer's warranty, and we handle that claim with you.

How do you take payment?

Fifty percent when you approve the quote, which is what places the order with the manufacturer. The balance is due when the installation is complete and you have walked it with us. There is nothing due at the estimate.

Is the quote binding?

The quote is written to your measurements and the products you chose, and that is the price you pay. It changes only if you change the scope, and then we send a revised quote before anything is ordered.
