In short

Breeze Free replaces windows, exterior doors and failed insulated glass in Mill Creek, in Snohomish County, about 20 minutes from our shop in Snohomish. Mill Creek is Snohomish County PUD territory, so electrically heated homes qualify for PUD's window rebate, $100 per window replacing single pane and $50 per window replacing a double-pane frame. Cory, the owner, measures every job himself and quotes it in writing within 48 hours.

The windows we see most in Mill Creek

The planned neighborhoods

Mill Creek grew as a planned community around a golf course from the early 1980s through the 2000s: street after street of two-stories and split-levels with matching trim, matching grids, and more glass on the back of the house than most homes of that era.

Big units fail first

These plans lean on tall entry windows, transoms over the sliders and wide picture units. When a seal fails in one of those you look at it every day, and no cleaning touches it. The frames are usually sound, so new glass in the existing frame is often the whole job.

Sliders and patio doors

Almost every one of these houses opens onto a patio or deck through a slider or a French door. After 25 or 30 years the rollers drag, the track is worn and the glass may have fogged. Some of that is a repair and some means the door is finished; easy to tell in person.

Where we work from

Our shop is at 6023 188th St SE in Snohomish, about 20 minutes from Mill Creek. Cory measures every opening himself, our own crew installs, and the written quote follows within 48 hours. We cover Everett, Lynnwood and Bothell on the same runs.

Every city we work in

Mill Creek is PUD territory

Snohomish County PUD serves Mill Creek. Existing homes heated with electric baseboards, an electric furnace or a heat pump qualify for PUD's window rebate: $100 per window replacing single-pane glass, $50 per window replacing a double-pane frame, with new double or triple pane windows rated U-0.30 or lower and a PUD-registered contractor doing the work. Breeze Free is registered for windows. PSE supplies natural gas in parts of Mill Creek, and a home heated with PSE gas falls under PSE's own window rebate instead. Glass-only work never qualifies for either, which matters here because so many of these jobs are glass. Amounts and eligibility can change, so we confirm the current program with the utility before you order.

What we install in Mill Creek

Mill Creek plans lean on big glass: tall entry windows, transoms over the sliders and wide picture units. When one seal fails we replace the insulated glass unit in the existing frame and match the tint and low-e coating to the rest of the wall so nothing looks patched. When the sliders are done we install new vinyl or fiberglass patio doors sized to the opening, with rollers and tracks that will last. HOA architectural rules apply in most of these neighborhoods, so we match exterior color and grid patterns and give you the product sheet for the submittal.

I needed a window with a failing seal replaced. It was a pleasure to work with Breeze Free Window and Door from start to finish: easy to contact, transparent business practices, reasonable prices. Will use this company again. Thank you.

A. C.Google review, failed seal

My experience with Breeze Free is excellent. From start to finish they communicated thoroughly and promptly. But the best part was the finished product. I had multiple windows and one French door installed. I am so pleased with the results. The workmen were all polite and amiable. I highly recommend Breeze Free.

Sue D.Google review, windows and a French door

Breezefree just installed new windows for my home. The entire process was efficient and prompt. Cory has been great to work with and all of his team were professional and friendly. The office staff has also been responsive and friendly. My windows and doors are beautiful. Opening and closing is much easier, and I already notice the difference in keeping out drafts and keeping heat inside. I have only had the new windows for three weeks and I feel confident that Breeze Free will back their product and their work should I ever need to call them. They were referred to me by another window company and are one of PUD's approved contractors. The cost was very reasonable!

FAQ

Questions homeowners ask

Straight answers. Anything else, call (425) 337-6357.

Will new windows meet my HOA's architectural review in Mill Creek?

That is a real question here, and it comes down to what the outside looks like: frame color, grid pattern, and the proportions of the sash. We quote to match what your neighborhood already approved, so nothing has to come back out. Send us your guidelines with the request and Cory will work inside them on the visit.

One big picture window is fogged. Do I have to replace the whole thing?

Usually not. Fog between the panes means the seal on the insulated glass unit failed. If the frame is square and the hardware works, we replace the glass unit and leave the frame in the wall. On the oversized units in these houses that is the common fix.

Does Mill Creek qualify for the Snohomish PUD window rebate?

Yes. Mill Creek is served by Snohomish County PUD. An existing home with permanently installed electric heat qualifies when the new windows are double or triple pane at U-0.30 or lower and a PUD-registered contractor installs them. Breeze Free is registered for windows. Glass-only replacement does not qualify, and neither do homes heated with gas.
